# Daily Planner vs Summary

The clearest difference is ads: Daily Planner at none against Summary's shown. Daily Planner also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Summary's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daily Planner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Summary sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Daily Planner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Daily Planner's written reviews are positive against 100% of Summary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Daily Planner ships an update every 3 weeks, Summary every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
