# BOOM vs ComicMint

The clearest difference is ads: BOOM at none against ComicMint's shown. BOOM also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BOOM sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and ComicMint sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BOOM ships an update every 5 days, ComicMint every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
