# Vidome vs Camtro

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Vidome at none against Camtro's 20. Vidome also leads on review sentiment (61% vs 28%). Camtro's advantage is ratings volume (74K vs 507) and chart position (#14 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Camtro sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $28.99 per 6 months. Vidome asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Vidome against 4.6 for Camtro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Camtro has 74K ratings behind it against 507, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of Vidome's written reviews are positive against 28% of Camtro's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
