# SPF vs Sunglow

SPF and Sunglow both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 76% of Sunglow's written reviews are positive against 32% of SPF's. SPF's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 268) and chart position (#63 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SPF sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Sunglow sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sunglow holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SPF has 5K ratings behind it against 268, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 32% of SPF's written reviews are positive against 76% of Sunglow's.

SPF ships an update weekly, Sunglow every 5 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
