# Brainblast vs Cookr

Brainblast and Cookr both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 60% of Brainblast's written reviews are positive against 20% of Cookr's. Brainblast also leads on ratings volume (589 vs 15) and chart position (#118 vs unranked). Cookr's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainblast sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $149.00 per month and Cookr sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brainblast holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brainblast has 589 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Brainblast's written reviews are positive against 20% of Cookr's.

Brainblast ships an update every 2 days, Cookr every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
