# Digital Forensics vs TextPort

The clearest difference is update cadence: TextPort at every 2 days against Digital Forensics's monthly. TextPort also leads on chart position (#59 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Forensics sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and TextPort sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Digital Forensics ships an update monthly, TextPort every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 16, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
