# Elevation vs Pacstar

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pacstar at every 5 days against Elevation's every 3 months. Pacstar also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Elevation ships an update every 3 months, Pacstar every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
