# REDTV vs GhostBuddy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: REDTV at none against GhostBuddy's 8. REDTV also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). GhostBuddy's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GhostBuddy sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. REDTV asks for nothing beyond the download.

REDTV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GhostBuddy has 1.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

REDTV ships an update every 8 months, GhostBuddy every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
