# Magic Square vs Home Code

The clearest difference is update cadence: Home Code at every 3 days against Magic Square's every 10 days. Magic Square's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Square sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Home Code sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magic Square ships an update every 10 days, Home Code every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
