# LectureScribe vs Studley

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LectureScribe at 100% against Studley's 50%. Studley's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LectureScribe sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Studley sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Studley holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Studley has 4.5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of LectureScribe's written reviews are positive against 50% of Studley's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LectureScribe ships an update every 4 months, Studley weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
