# BlancVPN vs Cilex

The clearest difference is rating: Cilex at 5.0 against BlancVPN's 4.4. Cilex also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). BlancVPN's advantage is ratings volume (650 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlancVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Cilex asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cilex holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlancVPN has 650 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of BlancVPN's written reviews are positive against 40% of Cilex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BlancVPN ships an update monthly, Cilex every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
