# Study Guard vs Notario

Study Guard and Notario both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of Notario's written reviews are positive against 27% of Study Guard's. Notario also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and device support (3 vs 1). Study Guard's advantage is ratings volume (390 vs 75). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Study Guard sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Notario sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Study Guard against 4.7 for Notario. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Study Guard has 390 ratings behind it against 75, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 27% of Study Guard's written reviews are positive against 67% of Notario's.

Study Guard ships an update fortnightly, Notario every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
