# StudyLock vs Studley

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StudyLock at 100% against Studley's 50%. StudyLock also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Studley's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StudyLock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Studley sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudyLock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Studley has 4.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of StudyLock's written reviews are positive against 50% of Studley's.

StudyLock ships an update monthly, Studley weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
