# AI Notetaker for Lectures vs AfterTalk

The clearest difference is rating: AfterTalk at 4.5 against AI Notetaker for Lectures's 4.0. AfterTalk also leads on ratings volume (32 vs 2). AI Notetaker for Lectures's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 67%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Notetaker for Lectures sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and AfterTalk sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AfterTalk holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AfterTalk has 32 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of AI Notetaker for Lectures's written reviews are positive against 67% of AfterTalk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AI Notetaker for Lectures ships an update every 10 days, AfterTalk every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
