# TierMaker.com vs Portal Door

The clearest difference is rating: TierMaker.com at 4.2 against Portal Door's 3.0. TierMaker.com also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). Portal Door's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 8%) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TierMaker.com sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Portal Door asks for nothing beyond the download.

TierMaker.com holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TierMaker.com has 1.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of TierMaker.com's written reviews are positive against 50% of Portal Door's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TierMaker.com ships an update weekly, Portal Door fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
