# TierMaker.com vs Joystickd

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Joystickd at 100% against TierMaker.com's 9%. Joystickd also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and monetization model (free vs freemium). TierMaker.com's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TierMaker.com sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Joystickd sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Joystickd holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TierMaker.com has 1.8K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 9% of TierMaker.com's written reviews are positive against 100% of Joystickd's.

TierMaker.com ships an update weekly, Joystickd monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
