# Clueprit vs Root Drop

The clearest difference is ads: Clueprit at none against Root Drop's shown. Clueprit also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Root Drop's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clueprit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Root Drop sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Clueprit ships an update every 5 weeks, Root Drop fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
