# WingMap vs Tripals

The clearest difference is rating: Tripals at 5.0 against WingMap's 1.0. Tripals also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). WingMap's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tripals holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tripals has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WingMap ships an update every 5 days, Tripals every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
