# TaskForge vs Excerpt

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Excerpt at none against TaskForge's 3. TaskForge's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TaskForge sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Excerpt asks for nothing beyond the download.

TaskForge ships an update every 4 days, Excerpt every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
