# MoodWidgets vs PxPal

The clearest difference is rating: PxPal at 4.9 against MoodWidgets's 3.7. PxPal also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 3). MoodWidgets's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 67%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MoodWidgets sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and PxPal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PxPal holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 13 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of MoodWidgets's written reviews are positive against 67% of PxPal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MoodWidgets ships an update every 2 months, PxPal every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
