# MoodWidgets vs Sentarm

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MoodWidgets at 100% against Sentarm's 50%. MoodWidgets also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Sentarm's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.7) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MoodWidgets sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Sentarm sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sentarm holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of MoodWidgets's written reviews are positive against 50% of Sentarm's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MoodWidgets ships an update every 2 months, Sentarm weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
