# Studley vs NoteMate

Studley and NoteMate both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of NoteMate's written reviews are positive against 50% of Studley's. Studley's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 5). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Studley sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and NoteMate sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Studley against 4.8 for NoteMate. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Studley has 4.4K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Studley's written reviews are positive against 100% of NoteMate's.

Studley ships an update weekly, NoteMate every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
