# GleeStream vs VitaShorts

The clearest difference is rating: VitaShorts at 5.0 against GleeStream's 1.4. VitaShorts also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). GleeStream's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GleeStream sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $6.90 per 7 days and VitaShorts sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VitaShorts holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GleeStream has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GleeStream ships an update every 2 weeks, VitaShorts every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
