# BrainBloom vs IQ Boost

The clearest difference is monetization model: BrainBloom at free with in-app purchases against IQ Boost's subscription. BrainBloom also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (54% vs 35%). IQ Boost's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and chart position (#56 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainBloom sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and IQ Boost sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BrainBloom holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IQ Boost has 9.3K ratings behind it against 1.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of BrainBloom's written reviews are positive against 35% of IQ Boost's.

BrainBloom ships an update every 2 weeks, IQ Boost every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
