# ChatThread vs Second Eye

The clearest difference is update cadence: Second Eye at fortnightly against ChatThread's every 2 months. ChatThread's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChatThread sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Second Eye sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ChatThread ships an update every 2 months, Second Eye fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
