# Hydration Tracker vs tofuday

The clearest difference is ads: tofuday at none against Hydration Tracker's shown. Hydration Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (26 vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hydration Tracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and tofuday sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

tofuday holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hydration Tracker has 26 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hydration Tracker ships an update every 9 days, tofuday every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
