# Cognito vs MindShot

The clearest difference is ads: Cognito at none against MindShot's shown. Cognito also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). MindShot's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cognito sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and MindShot sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cognito ships an update every 3 weeks, MindShot every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
