# Identifier vs Huck

Identifier and Huck both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 33% of Identifier's written reviews are positive against 0% of Huck's. Identifier also leads on ratings volume (177 vs 12). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Identifier sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Huck sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Huck holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Identifier has 177 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Identifier's written reviews are positive against 0% of Huck's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Identifier ships an update weekly, Huck every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
