# Melodician vs OFFBEAT

The clearest difference is ads: OFFBEAT at none against Melodician's shown. OFFBEAT also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Melodician sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and OFFBEAT sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Melodician ships an update every 2 weeks, OFFBEAT every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
