# SAT & ACT Prep vs Sharp SAT Prep

SAT & ACT Prep and Sharp SAT Prep both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Sharp SAT Prep's written reviews are positive against 85% of SAT & ACT Prep's. SAT & ACT Prep's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (279 vs 47). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SAT & ACT Prep sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Sharp SAT Prep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sharp SAT Prep holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SAT & ACT Prep has 279 ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of SAT & ACT Prep's written reviews are positive against 100% of Sharp SAT Prep's.

SAT & ACT Prep ships an update weekly, Sharp SAT Prep fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
