# Trescubos vs Backbone

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backbone at every 9 days against Trescubos's every 3 months. Trescubos's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Trescubos ships an update every 3 months, Backbone every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
