# DirectG vs CheckQ

The clearest difference is update cadence: CheckQ at every 3 days against DirectG's every 2 months. CheckQ also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DirectG ships an update every 2 months, CheckQ every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
