# AniMates vs Cinemeet

The clearest difference is monetization model: Cinemeet at free against AniMates's freemium. Cinemeet also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and ratings volume (18 vs 5). AniMates's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 43%) and rating (4.2 vs 4.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AniMates sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Cinemeet sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AniMates holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 18 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of AniMates's written reviews are positive against 43% of Cinemeet's.

AniMates ships an update fortnightly, Cinemeet weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
