# Toothbrush Timer vs Home Code

The clearest difference is ads: Toothbrush Timer at none against Home Code's shown. Toothbrush Timer also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Home Code's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Toothbrush Timer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Home Code sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Toothbrush Timer ships an update every 5 months, Home Code every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
