# WakeMinder vs Step Guard

The clearest difference is rating: Step Guard at 5.0 against WakeMinder's 4.5. WakeMinder's advantage is ratings volume (22 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WakeMinder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Step Guard sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step Guard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WakeMinder has 22 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WakeMinder ships an update weekly, Step Guard every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
