# Habit Tracker vs Dots

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Dots at 232 against Habit Tracker's 9. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Habit Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Dots sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Habit Tracker against 4.9 for Dots. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dots has 232 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Habit Tracker's written reviews are positive against 98% of Dots's.

Habit Tracker ships an update weekly, Dots every 5 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
