# SipBuddy vs BurnBar

The clearest difference is ratings volume: BurnBar at 451 against SipBuddy's 9. BurnBar also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). SipBuddy's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 82%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SipBuddy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and BurnBar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SipBuddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BurnBar has 451 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of SipBuddy's written reviews are positive against 82% of BurnBar's.

SipBuddy ships an update weekly, BurnBar every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
