# PolyChat vs BerkeleyCrime

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BerkeleyCrime at none against PolyChat's 3. PolyChat's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PolyChat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. BerkeleyCrime asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for PolyChat against 5.0 for BerkeleyCrime. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PolyChat has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
