# Write It! vs ScriptPad

The clearest difference is rating: ScriptPad at 5.0 against Write It!'s 3.7. ScriptPad also leads on ads (none vs shown). Write It!'s advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 11 days) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Write It! sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and ScriptPad sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScriptPad holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Write It! has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Write It! ships an update every 5 days, ScriptPad every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
