# UZD vs Inkslate

The clearest difference is monetization model: Inkslate at free against UZD's freemium. Inkslate also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). UZD's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UZD sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Inkslate sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Inkslate holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UZD has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of UZD's written reviews are positive against 100% of Inkslate's.

UZD ships an update every 9 days, Inkslate every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
