# BritVPN vs Ruble VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Ruble VPN at 5.0 against BritVPN's 3.0. BritVPN's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BritVPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Ruble VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ruble VPN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively.

BritVPN ships an update fortnightly, Ruble VPN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 14, 2026 and August 31, 2026 respectively.
