Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: BritVPN at 100% against VPN's 45%. BritVPN also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). VPN's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 5). On price, update cadence and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BritVPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. VPN asks for nothing beyond the download.
VPN holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of BritVPN's written reviews are positive against 45% of VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
