# Kalam vs Duostories

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Duostories at none against Kalam's 19. Duostories also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Kalam's advantage is ratings volume (6.8K vs 5) and chart position (#140 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kalam sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Duostories asks for nothing beyond the download.

Duostories holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kalam has 6.8K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Kalam ships an update every 10 days, Duostories fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
