# ruID vs Trendsee

The clearest difference is rating: Trendsee at 5.0 against ruID's 3.8. Trendsee also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). ruID's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trendsee sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. ruID asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trendsee holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ruID has 75 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of ruID's written reviews are positive against 0% of Trendsee's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ruID ships an update every 3 weeks, Trendsee every 9 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
