# Flight Tracker vs PlanesFYI

The clearest difference is rating: Flight Tracker at 5.0 against PlanesFYI's 3.0. Flight Tracker also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 2). PlanesFYI's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (100% vs 91%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. PlanesFYI asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flight Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Tracker has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Flight Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of PlanesFYI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
