# Blockrr vs Basic Mode

The clearest difference is update cadence: Blockrr at weekly against Basic Mode's monthly. Blockrr also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blockrr sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Basic Mode sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blockrr ships an update weekly, Basic Mode monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
