# Notee vs Scriben

Notee and Scriben both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Scriben's written reviews are positive against 70% of Notee's. Scriben also leads on update cadence (daily vs weekly). Notee's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 4) and chart position (#88 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notee sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Scriben sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scriben holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notee has 5K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of Notee's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scriben's.

Notee ships an update weekly, Scriben daily. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
