# LitVPN vs VPN

The clearest difference is rating: VPN at 4.4 against LitVPN's 3.0. VPN also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LitVPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LitVPN ships an update every 6 weeks, VPN monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
