# WalkWrite vs Sotto Voce

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sotto Voce at every 2 days against WalkWrite's every 6 days. WalkWrite's advantage is iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WalkWrite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Sotto Voce sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WalkWrite ships an update every 6 days, Sotto Voce every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
