# LIMSTAR vs Island Pocket

The clearest difference is rating: LIMSTAR at 5.0 against Island Pocket's 4.7. Island Pocket's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and ratings volume (15 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LIMSTAR sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Island Pocket sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LIMSTAR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Island Pocket has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LIMSTAR ships an update weekly, Island Pocket every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
